The rooftop terrace on the OpernTurm podium is a truly outstanding location. It gives visitors the feeling they are floating in the midst of Frankfurt’s skyline and offers a front-row opportunity to watch Opernplatz. At the end of April, work redesigning the rooftop terrace was completed and the OpernTurm community enjoyed the first after-work happening there – with lots of sun, music, and drinks.
Those feelgood vibes
Staff of OpernTurm tenants recently for the first time enjoyed their after-work Thursday on the newly designed rooftop terrace. Sunshine, tasty finger-food, a fitting drinks selection, and summery sounds courtesy of DJ Matthias Westerwelle attracted most of the members of OpernTurm companies to the after-work bash on the roof of the podium building.
The new rooftop terrace
The rooftop terrace boasts a new look with countless seats – just in time for the coming outdoor season. It’ll be even more fun now to simply gaze out over the high-rises and Opernplatz , and more comfortable, too. A new feature: the colourful stand of seats facing Alte Oper that now wraps round half the oval technical equipment unit. Additional benches, tables, and seating arrangements mean there are plenty of places to spend a leisurely outdoor break with your colleagues. Another real eyecatcher: the various sets of wooden planters with their organic, curved shapes that subdivide the terrace into zones and provide additional seating.
With the Rooftop Opening event, the OpernTurm community ushered in the outdoor season on the new rooftop terrace. We’re greatly looking forward to many a pleasant get-together.
