Good news for OpernTurm staff who use a bike to get to work: Since September of this year there are new indoor bike racks in the OpernTurm underground carpark. The new cycle basement on the 1st Lower Ground floor provides not only covered bike racks but also other cycle services.
The neon LED bicycle icon lights up bright and clear on the freshly painted light-blue wall. The friendly new OpernTurm cycle basement is cleanly laid out and boasts no less than 74 new numbered spaces for bikes. The spaces are reserved exclusively for OpernTurm staff and tenant companies assign them to their employees. At present, there are two spaces per tenant company.
Bike services and extra comfort for staff
Alongside secure and dry parking spaces for bikes, the spacious bright room features a permanent repair station outfitted with a tire pump where you can also undertake minor repairs on your bike if needed. Anyone using the bike ride to their OpernTurm office as a work-out will be thrilled by the new shower and changing rooms, which boast LED lighting, ventilation, and underfloor heating. Added to which there are lockers for temporary safekeeping of your belongings.
Access via Rothschildpark
The cycle basement was designed with easy access in mind. OpernTurm staff can simply use the glass elevator opening onto Rothschildpark to take their bike down into the 1st Lower Ground level of the underground car park. From there the signs lead to the cycle basement which is close at hand and accessible round the clock.
