The “Orange the World” campaign aims to take a clear stance against violence towards women. And this year, the OpernTurm is again participating in the campaign – and is glowing orange for a whole week.
The non-governmental organization ZONTA International has made it its mission to fight and prevent gender-based violence and has spent years tirelessly campaigning to raise awareness of the problem.
The annual “Orange the World” campaign, which is backed by the UN, is seeing ever greater involvement and support, including in Frankfurt: On 25 November a number of stand-out buildings marked the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women” with orange illumination during the evening hours – and some are prolonging the illumination beyond this day.
The OpernTurm is also showing its colours once again, creating a clear signal visible from afar every evening through 2 December.
